BEFORE MY EYES – SCOTT ATTRILL Dirty hard techno is the mood, tough driven drums fire it up from the off with some tight tribal loops and percussion. Good use of effects at the start compliment the groove perfectly & the cut old school piano
As the hype starts to reach fever pitch, we caught up with Scott to discuss his forthcoming artist album…
It’s been a very busy year for you so far, how did you manage to get the time to put this album together?
a) I had been working on the album from real early last year without realising to be honest, after putting the first album ‘Bass Junkie’ together, I was just working on new tracks then before I knew it Christmas was on the horizon, I decided I had some really cool tracks for a new selection, seeing that ‘Bass Junkie’ was released in May I was planning for the end of the summer so it gave me just enough time, I cant emphasise the word ‘Just’ strongly enough though, it was hard, but I’m very happy with it.
What can we expect from the new album?
a) More twisted filthy noises & much more besides. It’s very much still a fusion of sounds and styles that I love, but always with the tougher edge to it. There are some nice vocal tracks, some big breakdowns & some downright dirty funk too! I made a conscious effort not to do a single collaboration on here, I wanted it to represent myself solely and where I am as an artist at the moment.
The second teaser EP for Scott’s new ‘Mega’ album is finally here & the temperature is really starting to rise in anticipation now, after sweeping reviews from clublands elite for the first EP, this is sure to go down a treat. Bring on the filth!
